Komatsu is offering a paid apprenticeship for an Electrician! In this role you’ll travel the United States as well as work in the shop in Mesa Arizona learning how to do electrical work on large mining shovels.
Job Duties:
•Entry-level work including electrical cabinet rebuilds and shovel rewiring (wiring only, not live electricity)
•Shop-based rewiring of electrical components and cabinets
•Field work rewiring shovels during overhauls
•Assistance with troubleshooting, new machine builds, and relocation of machines
•Work under supervision, with a focus on safety and process improvement
•Flexible schedule and travel required based on job location
Requirements:
•Completion of an Electrical Technology program or equivalent field experience (1-3 years preferred)
•Basic knowledge of AC/DC systems, ability to read schematics, and use diagnostic tools
•Willingness to work in diverse teams and travel to various field locations
•Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug/alcohol, background check)
•Physical ability to perform moderate lifting, climbing, and other hands-on tasks
