McConway & Torley is looking for Quality Inspectors. As a Quality Inspector you will perform basic quality control testing and inspection of standard parts, units, equipment, or material to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
What You’ll Do:
•Inspect finished parts at the end of a production line for adherence to quality standards
•Understand how to link written standards to physical parts
•Collect data each shift to report defect types and quantities
•Use electronic equipment to log information retrieved from physical parts
•Tag products that are determined to be acceptable with the corresponding information
•Communicate with production employees the findings and how to properly repair defects
•Operate hoists and equipment as needed by work cell
What You Need:
•Previous quality inspection experience is a plus.
•Must be a detail oriented individual
•Must be able to double check your own findings in the event of mismatched information collected
•Must have strong interpersonal skills including being capable of working with others in the resolution of problems and getting the job done.
Working Conditions:
•Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
•This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
•Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
