Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $24 -$32/per hour
The pay range for this position is included in the job description. The listed range represents the broader pay scale for the role. Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Position Summary
The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of sheet metal systems in commercial and institutional construction environments. This role supports project teams by helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
•Work as part of a team to complete tasks assigned by the Superintendent or Lead Mechanic
•Measure, cut, fabricate, and install ductwork using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
•Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
•Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of sheet metal systems and related equipment
•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
•Follow all company safety policies and procedures
•Support project goals by maintaining productivity and workmanship standards
•Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
•3-5 years of sheet metal experience in commercial construction, or an equivalent combination of training and education
•Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
•Ability to read and follow instructions, drawings, and project specifications
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
•Flexibility to work overtime as needed
•Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and applicable background checks
•Commitment to company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on position performed in commercial construction environments.
Physical and environmental requirements may include:
•Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
•Lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
•Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
•Occasional driving between job sites
•Exposure to construction materials, tools, equipment, and active jobsite conditions
•Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
